Nathan vs The Wasp

So I thought I would tell about my adventure with my son at our local park yesterday and he was running around in one of those castles they have and there were wasps that no one knew about. And it was one of those nasty red ones, it got him above his ear in his hair. That happened at 11ish well by 2 after we got home it started getting puffy, now keep in mind I know he reacts badly to stings from ants and wasps so I immediately gave him Benadryl and iced it. Well at 2 I got worried so I called Dr. Tan (we just saw him Monday) and asked them about it. They said ice it again and give more Benadryl. Now I am getting worried cause I know Monday that we were talking about getting him an EpiPen next year if he doesn't outgrow his allergy. So I did what they said and he fell asleep and I thought all was fine till around 4 he woke up fussy and keep rubbing at his eye. IT WAS SWOLLEN SHUT... I was done I called them again and was ready to be hysterical! They called in some steroids for him and had them pushed through, still took an hour but I got them 70 dollars later! But hey still cheaper than a hospital visit! So today he is getting better but it looks like he has a black eye. I was embarassed last night when we went to his orientation with his face like that but he took right to the school and was running around!
I am to the point of being afraid of him going to school because these reactions keep happening and what if I don't get to him on time or he gets ant bitten and doesn't tell someone. His preschool is aware now (especially after seeing him!) of how serious this can be. I try to not be a freakout mom and be easy going but after this I am going to have to start worrying more till either A.) he outgrows it or B.) He gets an EpiPen...

Harsh realities!

So I am new to figuring out how this whole posting of a blog thing works... hope soon someone finds me interesting! As this blog goes on people will see I come from a very drama filled family. Lots of things that can make others fill greatful that their problems which they thought were big are minimal! I grew up abused and refuse to allow it to happen with my children even if it means keeping them away from my family. Harsh right? Well if it protects them I am willing. I have what I like to call a circumstancial mother. She is your mother as long as you are willing to do what she wants and what she says. Her most recent venture is to say I lied to people about her abuse on the woman (my great Aunt) that she cares for. No, she is not related to my mother anymore, she is my dad's aunt. And she is telling people someone said my husband is saying he wants to leave me... now why would any grown man tell his wife he is ready for the baby she wants to have and make thoses plans, IF HE PLANS TO LEAVE HER? Sounds like they are jealous to me. I live for my husband and children, I may not be fortunate to have many friends but I have great extended family (on my dad's side) and a great supportive husband. That works for me just fine and dandy! My children love me and know I love them as well!

SO about this blog! As soon as I get a few readers I will start posting the deals I am finding from area stores and from other local Central Florida bloggers! So follow me and I will show you the deals and share some stories along the way!

My lil Munchkins!

This is my son "N" he is a daddy's boy and has no use for mommy anymore! He would rather sit around and play xbox360 than to have much to do with mommy and her kisses! He is a sweetheart when he wants something and a meany when he doesn't get his way!
This is my daughter "M" the light of my life! She is the reason I get through the day sometimes! I think I would be lost without her and I hope we are always close, though she did just turn 3!

I hope to soon add to these darlings of mine and only time will tell if that is as it should be! I try to be the best I can for them and one day I hope they tell me it has been enough! Now I am off to follow some coupon blogging!
